Who We Are
We at Torobon are passionate about delivering the finest flavors and highest quality culinary goods to your doorstep. That passion is the product of a lifelong immersion in food and international travel by this site’s founder, Marvin Barnes. At the age of 4, Marvin had no idea his father’s deployment to Ansbach, Germany as a chef, or culinary specialist/92G in Army parlance, would spark an insatiable pursuit of taste and experience in as many corners of the planet as possible.
Over the course of nearly decade in the specialty beer business, Marvin was fortunate to have imbibed almost daily with accomplished brewers, chefs, farmers and hospitality professionals who were all focused on delivering some of the most extraordinary consumer experiences possible. And it is that working stint that inspired the creation Torobon and her sister site, BonCopo.
Food and beverage are equal partners in the culinary experience and it is our mission to deliver you the best representations of both.

I created Torobon because I wanted cooking at home to feel exciting again. Too often, the flavors I was looking for weren’t easy to find or they lacked the quality and inspiration I craved. With Torobon, the goal is simple: to curate spices, seasonings, and tools that help people turn everyday meals into something memorable.
