This rustic handmade Japanese ceramic grater from Fort & Field blends beauty and utility through the traditional Kohiki technique. A white slip is layered over dark clay, then fired to reveal natural tones of white, grey, and subtle pink (Gohonte). Slight crazing in the glaze is intentional and part of the design. Substantial and easy to grip, this grater is perfect for garlic, ginger, or daikon prep. The handle allows for convenient hanging, and the small version includes a lip for easy pouring.
